Although Oppenheimer popularized the Gita by quoting, “I am become death, destroyer of the worlds,” to soothe his ugra-karmic mind-set, the quintessence of the Gita eluded him. The essence of the Gita is to surrender to Krishna who stood before Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, not the inborn in Krishna as propagated by irrational/speculative commentators of the Gita.
