Wishing everyone a very bright New Year.

I had a presentation on “Sociological and organismic factors affecting effective and sustainable leadership” which was very much well received, at the Center for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Pretoria, South Africa, on December 6, 2011. Some of the academicians asked insightful questions after the talk, which generated further enlivening discussion.

The amazing thing about the ISKCON Boston ratha yatra parade on September 18, 2011 was that when we were out there on the streets, pulling Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra, some Unitarian church officials on Arlington Street came to plead that we go into their church to chant. So we went into this gigantic church, chanting and dancing. The church members present jubilantly chanted, danced, and some of them even embraced devotees to their heart’s content.

At an international and interdisciplinary conference on “Living well in the 21st century: Challenges and responses,” at Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida, from September 16-17, I presented a well-received paper titled “Sexual control and organizational leadership.” The organizers of the said conference have requested me to come for their next conference in India, January 2012.
